With no hoops on the calendar until Dec. 22, Warriors Wire is rewinding the tape through Golden State’s history for memorable matchups, standout performances and everything else in between.

Before registering an appearance in the NBA All-Star game with the Washington Wizards, Cheap Antawn Jamison Jersey developed into a budding pro with the Golden State Warriors.

During his five-season stint in Golden State, the former No. 4 overall pick out of North Carolina averaged 20.2 points on 45.4% shooting from the field with 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and one steal per game.

With a steady list of impressive performances in the Bay Area on Jamison’s resume, his battle against future NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant might be at the top.

December 6, 2000
Coming off a loss to the Seattle Supersonics where he scored a career-high 51 points, Jamison wasn’t going to let another performance like that go to waste, even if it was against Bryant and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Picking up where he left off against the Sonics, Jamison notched 19 points in the first half to give Golden State a 62-57 lead at halftime. While Jamison was cooking in the first 24 minutes, Bryant wasn’t far behind, scoring 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting in the first half.

While Jamison added another 12 points to his total, Bryant exploded for 17 points in the third quarter. Bryant’s scorching third quarter pushed the Lakers to a 10-point lead heading into the final quarter.

With 12 minutes remaining, Jamison struck back, recording another 12 points to lead Golden State’s fourth-quarter comeback. With 41 points at the buzzer, Jamison pushed Bryant and the Lakers into an overtime period with the score locked at 107.

In overtime, Bryant and Jamison traded heavyweight power punches. However, with the help of Cheap Larry Hughes Jersey and Bob Sura, Golden State sealed the upset victory at the Arena in Oakland, 125-122.

For the second consecutive game, Jamison finished with 51 points on 21-of-29 shooting from the field with 13 boards, five assists, two steals and a block in 53 minutes. Bryant matched Jamison with 51 points on 18-of-35 shooting with eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals in 51 minutes

Cheap Bradley Beal Jersey didn’t have too many conversations with the late Cheap Wes Unseld Jersey, widely regarded as Washington’s most heralded player in team history. There was one conversation that really stuck with Beal, though.

The Wizards, with Beal’s help, made sure to celebrate Unseld’s life at the first chance they got back in their home building, Capital One Arena, ahead of their second game of the season against the Magic. Beal shared his sentiments on the former MVP, who died June 2, in a prerecorded tribute video the Wizards played before the tip-off of their home opener on Saturday.

“I wish we had more time with him. I briefly had conversations with him,” Beal said in the video. “I remember one time specifically he told me to be a mf’er. Go be a dog. So, I’ll always remember that. That will always resonate with me.”

That’s certainly the type of advice that’ll resonate, especially coming from another dog like Unseld.

The team also released another powerful tribute video on Instagram, featuring some of Unseld’s teammates like power forward Cheap Elvin Hayes Jersey and swingman Cheap Kevin Grevey Jersey.
“The greatest to ever put on a Bullets uniform,” Beal said. “That 41 is up in the rafters for a reason. He brought a championship here to D.C., and everything he represents and stands for, he was a true pioneer in the game of basketball and for his city.”

Unseld brought Washington the franchise’s only title back in 1978 as the Bullets. Before that, Unseld joined Wilt Chamberlain as the league’s only rookies to ever earn MVP honors. He also spent his entire 26-year professional career with the franchise, moving into an executive role before later becoming the team’s coach and then general manager after his playing days.

“For him to be as dominant as he was, to be an unselfish player, dominate on the boards, being able to battle down low, and for him to be the leader he was on that team, it speaks volumes,” Beal said. “And for him to be around after he played, be around the city, he would be around us sometimes. His son is still a part of the game, it’s really cool to see.”

Unseld’s bruising style of play down low turned him into the rebounding leader in 1975, and he finished with an impressive stat line of 14.0 rpg, 10.8 ppg, and 3.9 apg. The five-time all-star will always be fondly remembered in the D.C. sports community for what he did on and off the court.

“He’s a legend, he is the legend of D.C. So thank you for all you’ve done, for your remarkable career,” Beal said. “We truly miss you. Thank you, 41.”

The Wizards drafted McGee with the 18th pick in the in the 2008 Draft. McGee caught Washington’s eye for a couple of reasons – his shot blocking ability and the potential to be a great rim finisher with his long frame.

McGee was thrusted into the rotation immediately as he played in 75 games his rookie year. Though it was clear that McGee had potential, he was still very raw and too lanky to hold position against other post players. Even though McGee was a good shot blocker, his timing was often off and he regularly saw goaltending calls against him.

In the 2010-11 season, McGee averaged 10.1 points per game as the starting center – with most of those points coming on dunks or shots around the rim.

His downfall in Washington began earlier in the 2009-10 season because he got caught up in the circus-like atmosphere that shaped the end of the Arenas era, including the “finger guns” moment before a game against the Philadelphia 76ers. In the next season, he got into a fight with Cheap Andray Blatche Jersey outside of a D.C. nightclub.

The highlight of McGee’s time in Washington was probably in 2011 when he was in the Dunk Contest. McGee had a couple of very nice dunks including one where he dunked three basketballs but ultimately ended up losing to Blake Griffin.

McGee was traded to the Denver Nuggets during the 2011-12 season as the Wizards were looking reset the culture. After bouncing around to a few teams, McGee found his footing with the Golden State Warriors, where he played from 2016-18. There, he focused on making the right play instead of the spectacular play and carved out a nice role for himself. He won championships in each of his two seasons there.

Today, McGee plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, where he continues to play with that mindset and is still putting up solid numbers.

This begs the question: How good could McGee have been in Washington if he was more mature early on and didn’t get caught up in all of the hoopla?

The Washington Wizards are becoming more and more desperate as time goes by. With a current 3-8 record, the team is facing a crucial juncture. The crux of which is the decision on whether or not they should trade star Bradley Beal.
The two-time all-star has voiced on many occasions that he would like to remain a Wizard but he would also like for the team to find some semblance of competence.

Washington just can’t seem to get it right though and the Wizards find themselves bottom-dwellers in the East yet again. Coaching rumors have even begun to surface as it seems Scott Brooks is on the hot seat.

As the Wizards find only more and more reasons to rebuild, it was a forgone conclusion that the “sharks” would soon be circling Bradley Beal.

According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, that time is now.

O’Connor reported that “With the Wizards in disarray, teams thirsting for a blockbuster trade are increasingly shifting their gaze toward Beal.”

No surprising news there but what he had to say next should excite Philly fans.

O’Connor mentioned two teams by name, those being the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only that, but O’Connor was quick to proclaim the Sixers the more serious of the two teams as Brooklyn is not currently flush with assets.

“Most people around the league consider Brooklyn a fairly unlikely destination to land a star considering it lacks a high-value player or asset to put into a deal.”

With the loss of impending free agent Spencer Dinwiddie to an ACL tear, the Nets would fall short of the types of offers the Sixers can offer. A deal centered around Simmons or Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, and picks would be much more attractive than an offer of Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen (RFA).

Darly Morey and the Sixers will be sure to do their due diligence as the league approaches the trade deadline. With the recent rumors that James Harden may remain in Houston, all attention turns to Cheap Bradley Beal Jersey as the top trade target.

Washington Wizards forward Cheap Deni Avdija Jersey was parodied on an Israeli television show recently, which Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington showed and wrote about earlier today.

I went ahead and embedded the video above. The video is entirely in Hebrew, but the actor impersonating Avdija does have some English lines along the way. His father, Zufer was also parodied on the show “Eretz Nehederet” according to Hughes’ piece.

Avdija even posted a clip on his Instagram account.

I love watching parody videos, since they are a sign that a celebrity has “made it,” like Avdija mentioned. As long as a celebrity didn’t get on the news for the wrong reasons, the parodies are a sign of respect, just like they often are on “Saturday Night Live.”

The Wizards generally aren’t as popular among NBA fans across the globe as the Los Angeles Lakers or the New York Knicks. So I generally liked watching the parody simply because of the Wizards jersey Avdija’s impersonator wore, even if I didn’t understand much of it.
